The BRBF Mission

One command stands out in every culture, religion, philosophy, and location around the world -

Love One Another!

Our mission with the Brody Reynolds Balcony Foundation is to increase awareness and encourage opportunities for connection, love, compassion, and friendship. Please see our PROJECTS page for specifics on how we are carrying out this mission.

In an increasingly divided world and cyber world, loneliness and mental health are becoming monumental concerns for wellbeing and thriving. Fortunately, an anecdote to loneliness and to improving mental health is through solid relationships. (According to Harvard research, relationships are the number one factor to determine one's level of happiness and wellbeing.)

We are not meant to walk this life alone!

It just takes one smile, one hand, one invitation to start a change in a heart and a life. We encourage you to reach out your hand if you need lifted up or to extend your hand when you can lift up others in need.

Make your days truly count for something meaningful because it could all end in an instant!

The Meaning of the Logo

When Brody was a little boy he began using  two ways of signing on to a game, an app, or as character names.

One name was HappyBearBro, but the most common name he used, which is the one people who knew and loved him remember is:

BroBroPanda.

Brody has always loved pandas. Brody also loved flexing for photos with his gym buddies or just being silly making people laugh. This panda flexing is very Brody like- especially since its flex creates a heart. Brody's greatest flex in life was definitely his love for others.

Sharing the following story and quotes below is the best "ABOUT" message we can give you of how Brody inspired a movement.

Most people seem to lose the heart of a very young child who loves fresh every day without abandon, bias, or judgement. Somewhere along the way of growing up we begin to become reluctant of openly showing love, inviting everyone, getting super excited at all the small things people share with us, and our bias and self-esteem can create a filter of caution and hesitation over our childlike, unbridled joy and love.  Brody never lost that childlike way of loving others. Don't get me wrong- he couldn't turn in homework on time, lost his school ID all the time, his phone battery was always about to die, he lost track of time and was late.... but he was incredibly intelligent and insightful which when combined with his capacity to love- made him an incredible balcony person.

Upon Brody's passing he was instantly remembered for his love, light, acceptance, joy, and ability to make people smile and laugh. He hugged his way through his days and made people feel noticed and special. Although Brody's life was cut way too short- he made a mark of love, a statement of you are enough, and an imprint of joy, on the hearts of those around him. God gave him a gift to raise the energy, joy, and sense of hope in every space he entered.

What a balcony person looks like....

From Brody's mother's Facebook page in 2020- "I am beyond proud of Brody! He is a good young man. While standing in a LONGGGGG line for a chance drawing game at the Bassmaster Classic, where the giveaways were from small bait prizes to expensive trolling motors - Brody exclaimed how much he wanted to win a fishing rod! The fishing rod  was their biggest prize.  While waiting in the long line, we came to know the lady standing next to us, Ms. Lynn, who was working her way through the line as well.  She told us, “I want to win a rod too. I like to fish but I am a widow and I don’t have anything to fish with anymore. “ Brody then told her, “I tell you what... if I win a rod I’ll give it to you.” She laughed as if saying "sure" but she said, "Well, if I win some bait packages then I’ll give them to you because I don’t even have a rod to use them with." And she laughed. She stepped up first to the drawing and she won some bait and she instantly passed it over to Brody. Brody then went next - and HE WON A ROD!!!!! Without hesitation, smiling from ear to ear, Brody passed through people to catch up to the lady walking away and handed his rod straight to Ms. Lynn. She began crying and gave Brody a huge hug. Later the representative from Academy Sports, who was hosting the drawing, heard what happened and came to find us. She told me what a fine young man Brody was and I started crying. She then handed Brody his own new rod just like he had won for Ms. Lynn. She said they wanted to reward his giving heart. I was so incredibly proud of my son today!!!!!! What a blessing."
Brody always greets others in the nicest way possible, stranger or not. He can always make you laugh or smile even if you haven't had the best day.

Kindness is loaning someone your strength instead of reminding them of their weakness.

So if you see someone falling behind walk beside them.

If you see someone being ignored find a way to include them. Always find a way to remind people of their worth.

One small act of kindness could change the world for someone!
